Conclusion
We live in an age where electricity is an essential part of our day-to-day living. No power means no good food, no drinkable water, no internet, and in essence, no life. The importance of the grid cannot be overemphasized. One way or the other, the wellness of the grid contributes to our lives. The good days — and the bad ones — structure our lives, our capacity to work, our reputation, and our ability to care for loved ones.
Our grid is our link to the electricity that warms and nourishes us — that makes life easier, and more comfortable.
However, despite being surrounded by this abundance of power, we could be stripped of it.
Generating power is not enough. It does not matter how much electricity we generate if the electricity is not delivered.
If we cannot make the means to electricity, more reliably, our own, we could lose it. A threat to the grid is a threat to the constant supply of power. If we do not start making decisions that are healthy for the grid, it could shut down. And that would be the end of it. We do not have a backup system in place — no solar panels, no bank of batteries, no diesel generator, no gas heater. We definitely do not want this, hence, we all need to do better and build a more reliable electricity source.

It doesn’t hurt to conserve energy. Practice energy conservation and sensitize people around you about its importance.
