The power of the powerful people rests on the powerlessness of the powerless
The average American barely has any significant political power. As a matter of fact, the most political power that belongs to an average American is the power to vote. It’s the only power that the elites are concerned about and a little scared of.
The largest percentage of power and wealth resides in the oligarchy system. One thing you should know is that for oligarchy to thrive, the gap between the rich and the poor must widen.
“Both oligarch and tyrant mistrust the people, and therefore deprive them of their arms.”
Aristotle
The oligarchy system of government does not want to raise the wages of hard-working Americans, reduce inequalities across all boards, guarantee all Americans access to quality and sustainable health care, and a world-class education system.
⚡️Expecting beneficiaries of the oligarchy to lead a revolutionary change is far-fetched.
They are business professionals who are there to maximize their profits and nothing more.
Unlike the Chinese system of government, where strict measures are put in place to tackle corruption, America creates an environment for corruption to thrive.
While it is true that these business magnates are following the basic principles of business, which is to make a profit, their influence on government decisions cannot be overlooked. They run the American government, and they are unable to balance their allegiance to the public with their desire to make huge profits.
America cannot thrive under a system that’s being run by large corporations because these corporations are not set up to promote the well-being of Americans.
The influence of oligarchy has been strengthened further by the failure of the government to cater to the people. The power wielded by the elites rests on the powerlessness of the masses. As long as the majority do not have access to what they genuinely deserve, oligarchy can forge on with full force. The oligarchs know that there’s power in an association, and this is why they’ve politicized almost all the associations by infiltrating them or buying them with money.
People have been made to believe that whatever is happening in the government among the top politicians is beyond their control. This notion is there to disband the collective spirit and kill the morale of people. More Americans are resigning to fate each passing day because they’ve been conditioned to think that they can barely do anything to change the way the country is being run.
