Conclusion
Democracy is being used as a smokescreen by the few wealthy Americans, to practice oligarchy. A lot of Americans do not get what they deserve in terms of social security, healthcare, and financial security. Many middle-class Americans live below the expected financial threshold, and this is not supposed to be so.
The cost of being active in politics has made politicians sell themselves to wealthy businessmen and businesswomen.
These business people are all about making profits without caring about the welfare of the people they make these profits from. Since these politicians are indebted to these wealthy people, they have no choice but to dance to their tunes.
Americans need to wake up and unite against these oligarchs to have an active community that gives them what they deserve. They must overlook whatever differences that might arise from religion, race, ideology, etc., and come together to say enough. Democracy has the chance to prevail — all it needs is maximum support from the people.
Try this:
Discard the general belief that you’re helpless against the government and find a way to actively participate in the politics of your nation.
