Regardless of the beliefs of those around you, stay true to who you are
People often shrink to fit into the box of other people’s expectations. Many try to fit into societal expectations that they are not true to themselves. A lot of homosexuals try to hide from their friends and family. Some even go as far as the date or marry people of the opposite sex to “cover their tracks”. This isn’t necessary. There is actually nothing important about other people’s ideas regarding homosexuality.
⚡️While everyone is entitled to their opinions and religious beliefs, no one is entitled to bully people into conforming to such beliefs.
You have no reason to hide your true nature. Your controlling parents and family are going to find out you are gay someday — whether you tell them or not. So, live freely. Worst case scenario, they’ll freak out and throw you out.
Go live your life with dignity among people who accept you while you sort out your relationship with them from an emotionally safe distance. Sooner or later, — whether they learn it from you, or they discern it on their own — your folks are going to have to grapple with the reality of who you are. And if they don’t, there is a whole mass of people out there who will totally love you for who you are.
